| A special meeting of the Troy Area School District Board of Education was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the library of the Troy Middle School by President Morgan. The following members were in attendance: Mr. Balmer Mrs. Fox Mr. Morgan Also in attendance were: Mr. Grantier, Superintendent; Mrs. Decker, Business Administrator; Mr. Blair, Maintenance Supervisor; staff members and district citizens. 2003/04 GENERAL FUND BUDGET The Board of Education for the Troy Area School District has prepared a tentative budget for the 2003/2004 fiscal year. The total projected general fund expenditures for the fiscal year 2003/2004 are $16,054,528. Copies of the tentative budget will be available for public inspection in the District Administration Office. The tentative budget does not reflect any type of tax increase. A motion was made by Mr. Debach, second by Mrs. Morse to approve the tentative budget as presented. The roll call vote was as follows: Mr. Balmer yes Mrs. McKerrow yes SOUTH CENTRAL VIRTUAL SCHOOL The Board of Education has agreed to join the South Central Consortium Virtual School, beginning with the 2003/04 School Year with an initial membership fee of $ 7,500 and an additional yearly fee to be determined based upon the number of member school. A motion was made by Mr. Debach, second by Mrs. Morse to approve the membership. The roll call vote was as follows: Mr. Curren yes Mr. Morgan yes ADJOURNMENT On a motion by Mrs. May, second by Mr. Balmer, the meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m. The directors then conducted their regular monthly work session.
